Carefully lift the acid bottle from the box. Fill the
battery with acid. The acid level should be between
the "UPPER" and "LOWER" on the battery (fig 6).
The acid level can fall a little after filling, wait twen-
ty minutes before checking the levels of each cell.
Top up with acid if necessary.
Let the battery stand for two hours before use.
Do not short circuit the battery termi-
nals as sparks may arise and cause fire.
Do not wear any metal items of jewel-
lery that can easily come in contact with
the battery terminals.
NOTE! To prevent damage to the engine and the
battery the positive (+) battery cable should always
be connected to the battery first (fig 7).
Do not run the engine with the battery disconnect-
ed.
TYRE INFLATION PRESSURE
Check the tyre inflation pressure. The correct pres-
sure should be:
Front tyres: 1,7 bar (24 psi)
Rear tyres: 0,6 bar (9 psi)

MOWER DECK

The mower deck parallelism to the ground is ad-
justed using the nuts D located at the rear mower
deck suspension (fig 8).
Rear discharge (Scoop):
The mower deck is fitted to the machines on deliv-
ery.
Multiclip (Garden Multiclip - Garden Combi):
The mower deck is fitted to the machines on deliv-
ery.
Side discharge (Scoop ES - Garden Collector):
The mower deck is fitted to the machine on deliv-
ery but must be fitted with a deflector or an ejec-
tion tube.
1. Remove the battery cables.
2. Remove the blade lock E (fig 9A).
3. Fit the deflector F or the ejection tube G (fig
9A). Use the same screws and nuts which held the
blade lock.
4. A third screw A is included with the deflector
(not on Scoop ES). This screw is to be fitted to the
side of the mower deck, through the hole in the de-
flector (fig 9A). Press down firmly on the deflector

before tightening the screw.
5. Refit the battery cables.
Under no circumstances should the
lawnmower be started if the blade lock
has not been replaced by either the de-
flector or the ejection tube.
Grass collecting (Garden Combi):
The mower deck is fitted to the machine on deliv-
ery but must be fitted with an ejection tube.
1. Remove the battery cables.
2. Remove the cover C (fig 9B).
3. Fit the ejection tube G (fig 9B). Use the same
screws and nuts which held the cover.
Under no circumstances should the
lawnmower be started if the cover has
not been replaced by the ejection tube.
4. Refit the battery cables.
GRASS COLLECTOR (Accessory)
Assemble the grass collector as described in the
separate assembly instructions supplied with the
grass collector.
The ejection tube G must be used together with
a complete grass collector.
When using the grass collector, all parts that are in-
corporated in the collector must always be assem-
bled and fitted on the machine (fig 10)
Never use the machine without the col-
lecting bag H and the long ejection pipe
I being fitted. There would otherwise be
a risk that stones and other similar ob-
jects would be ejected and cause injury
to people and animals or damage to
property.
Warning for the rotating blade. Never
put your hand or foot into the ejector
opening.
CONTROLS
Items 1 - 7, see figures 1 - 3.
1. HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT LEVER
A lever for setting/adjusting the height of the
mower deck above the ground.
