If you want to garage the motorcycle for a longer period, take the following actions.
Before storing the motorcycle, check all parts for function and wear.
21.2
Preparing for use after storage

When refueling for the last time before taking the motorcycle out of service for
more than one week, add fuel additive.

The fuel tank should be filled to around 95%.

Clean the motorcycle. (

Change the engine oil and oil filter, clean the oil screen.

Check the coolant level. (

Check the tire pressure. (
–
Remove the battery.

Recharge the battery.

Store the vehicle in a dry location that is not subject to large fluctuations in tem-

KTM recommends raising the motorcycle.
–
Raise the rear of the motorcycle with lifting gear. (

Raise the front of the motorcycle with lifting gear. (
–
Cover the motorcycle with a porous sheet or blanket.
Info
Do not use non-porous materials since they prevent humidity from escaping,
thus causing corrosion.
Avoid running the engine for a short time only. Since the engine cannot
warm up properly, the water vapor produced during combustion condenses
and causes valves and exhaust system to rust.

Take the motorcycle off of the front lifting gear. (

Remove the rear of the motorcycle from the lifting gear. (

Recharge the battery.

Install the battery.

Fill up with fuel. (

Perform checks and maintenance measures when preparing for use. (
