Installing the rear wheel

Warning
Danger of accidents Reduced braking efficiency due to oil or grease on the brake discs.
Always keep the brake discs free of oil and grease, and clean them with brake cleaner when necessary.
Warning
Danger of accidents No braking effect when operating the rear brake.
After installing the rear wheel, always operate the foot brake until the pressure point is reached.
Remove wheel spindle

Push the rear wheel as far forward as possible and then remove the chain from the
rear sprocket.

Protect the motorcycle and attachments against damage by covering them.
Warning
Danger of accidents Reduced braking efficiency due to damaged brake
discs.

Pull the rear wheel back and carefully take it out of the swingarm without damaging
the rim or brake disc.

Do not operate the foot brake when the rear wheel is removed.

Main work
Check the rear hub rubber dampers.
Clean the thread of the wheel spindle and nut.
Clean the mating surfaces of the brake caliper support and swingarm.
Position the rear wheel.
The brake caliper support and brake linings are correctly positioned.

Push the rear wheel as far forward as possible and place the chain on the rear
sprocket.
Pull the rear wheel back and insert wheel spindle

Always lay down the wheel in such a way that the brake discs are not
damaged.
