Removing the flywheel magnet
1. Loosen the flywheel magnet nut.
NOTICE: Apply force in the direction
of the arrows to prevent the flywheel
holder a from slipping off easily.

2. Remove the flywheel magnet.
NOTICE: To prevent damage to the
engine or tools, screw in the flywheel
puller set bolts evenly and completely
so that the flywheel puller is parallel to
the flywheel magnet.

Installing the flywheel magnet
1. Install the Woodruff key a, and then
install the flywheel magnet b.

TIP:
• Make sure to remove any grease from the
tapered portion of the crankshaft a and the
flywheel magnet b.
• Apply engine oil to the thread c of the fly-
wheel magnet nut and upper and lower sur-
face d of the washer before installation.

2. Tighten the flywheel magnet nut to the
specified torque.
