COOLING SYSTEM
WATER PUMP REMOVAL
1.Remove:
• Side cover
Refer to chapter 3 "COVER"
2.Drain:
• Radiator
• Hoses
Refer to chapter 3 "COOLANT REPLACEMENT"
3.Remove:
• Water pump fixing bolds
• Water pump
• Hoses

INSPECTION

1.Inspect:
• Impeller
Used/Damaged → Replace
Scale deposit → Clean
2.Inspect:
• Rotor
Used/Damaged → Replace

INSTALLATION

Reverse the "REMOVAL" procedure.
Note the following points.
NOTE:
• It is no necessary to remove and inspect the
water pump if the coolant is not unsually low
or if it has no engine oil mixed in it.
• Always replace the entire water pump as a set.
1.Apply:
• Lithium soap base grease (to the seal)
2.Install:
• Water pump assembly
• Side cover
CAUTION :
Align the mark on the hoses with the mark on
the water pump housing.
