AIR CLEANER ELEMENT CLEANING

AIR CLEANER ELEMENT CLEANING
1. Remove :
• Air cleaner case cover Q
2. Remove :
• Air filter element
CAUTION:
Never operate the engine with the air cleaner
element removed. Unfiltered air will cause
rapid wear of engine parts and possible
engine damage.
3.Inspect :
• Element Q
Damage © replace.
4.Clean :
• Air filter element

Cleaning steps :
• Wash the element gently but thoroughly in
solvent.
WARNING
Never use low flashpoint solvents such as
gasoline to clean the element. Such solvents
may lead to fire or explosion.
• Squeeze excess solvent out of the element and
let dry.
CAUTION:
Do not twist the element.
• Apply foam air filter oil or SAE 10W30 typ SE
oil on the element.
• Sqeeze out the excess oil.

NOTE:
The element should be wet but not dripping.
