3 Operation

3.1 Runtimes at partial load

Gas engines were designed and optimized for continuous operation at 100% load.
The following restrictions apply to ensure maximum operational availability of the engine plant and to
reduce maintenance to a minimum:
Power, referenced to nominal

0% to 30%
30% to 50%
50% to 100%
To reduce increased engine load due to temperature change (cold start to engine at operating tempera-
ture), a minimum runtime of 5h per start is recommended.
