System
Problem: Power not transmitted from engine to wheels
Condition
1. Drive chain worn - broken
2. Countershaft sprocket worn - broken
3. Rear sprocket worn - broken
4. Chain slipped off sprockets
5. Master link worn - broken - missing
Problem: Clutch slipping
Condition
1. Clutch shoes worn - damaged
Problem: Clutch dragging
Condition
1. Clutch return springs weak
2. Clutch worn - damaged
Troubleshooting Brake
System
Problem: Braking poor
Condition
1. Brake shoe(s) - pad(s) worn
2. Lever free-play excessive
3. Brake drum(s) worn
Problem: Brakes drag
Condition
1. Lever free-play less than minimum
2. Brake shoe return spring(s) loose - sprung
