Tips for troubleshooting

Possible causes and remedies

Blank display.
Display lighting on,
but display blank.
ultimail does not react
when pressing keys.
Functions are "missing" in
the display.
The ultimail does not
execute the desired action
and "beeps" several times.
Possible cause and remedy
Check whether the power cable is plugged in correctly
and the power switch is turned on.
Software issue.
Switch off power switch and pull power plug.
Caution! The printing system might be in a non-
sealed position! Give the ultimail time to shut down
properly before finishing work with the ultimail.
Wait one minute before starting the ultimail up again.
Access to these functions is not possible with the
access card inserted. On page 154 you will find an
overview of access rights.
The mode set (displayed in the status line) does not
support this function.
Beeps are a sign that the ultimail cannot execute a
function (for instance, if keys are without functions in
the current menu, or if the previous action is not yet
finished).
