1 Installed condition of wheel bearings,

tor.
2 Foreign material inside sensor hous-
ing.
3 Defective sensor rotor.

1 Open or short circuit in solenoid cir-
cuit.

ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM)
Symptom Missing pulses detected in the rear wheel sen-
sor signal.
Check or maintenance job
Check the components for loose-
ness, distortion, and bends.
Refer to "CHECKING THE REAR
WHEEL" on page 4-32.
Check the interior of the sensor
housing and the surface of the
sensor rotor for foreign material,
such as metal particles. Clean
the sensor housing and sensor
rotor if necessary.
Refer to "MAINTENANCE OF
THE REAR WHEEL SENSOR
AND SENSOR ROTOR" on page
4-33.
• Check the surface of the sensor
rotor for damage.
• If there is visible damage, re-
place the sensor rotor.

Symptom Hydraulic unit solenoid circuit is open or short-
circuited.
Check or maintenance job
Replace the hydraulic unit as-
sembly.
