EEPROM cylinder fault code number: an error is detected
while reading or writing on EEPROM (CO adjustment value).
EEPROM fault code display
• 00 (no history)
• 01–04: Cylinder fault code number (history exists)
If more than one cylinder is defective, the display switches every
two seconds to show the cylinder fault code numbers of all defec-
tive cylinders in a repeating cycle.

Maintenance job
Execute the diagnostic mode
(Code No. d:60).
00: Perform the procedure in
item 4.
01: Perform the procedure in
item 2.
02: Perform the procedure in
item 3.
Change the CO concentra-
tion of cylinder #1, and re-
write in EEPROM.
Refer to "ADJUSTING THE
EXHAUST GAS VOLUME"
on page 3-10.
After this adjustment is
made, the memory is not re-
covered when the main
switch is turned OFF and ON
again. → Replace the ECU.
Change the CO concentra-
tion of cylinder #2, and re-
write in EEPROM.
Refer to "ADJUSTING THE
EXHAUST GAS VOLUME"
on page 3-10.
After this adjustment is
made, the memory is not re-
covered when the main
switch is turned OFF and ON
again. → Replace the ECU.
