Daytime Running Lights Control Unit Input Test lCanada)
CAUTION:
a All SRS elsctrical wiring harnesses are covor€d with
ycllow out€r insulation.
a Botors disconnocting the SRS wire harnoss, inatall
th€ short connoctor on th6 airbag lsoo page 23-2941.
a Rcplace tho ontire affected SRS halness ass€mbly it
It has an open circuit or damaged wiring.
1. Pull the front passenger's carpet away and remove
the kick Danel.
2. Disconnect the 14-P connector from the davtime
running lights control unit.
3. Inspect the connector terminals to be sure thev are
all making good contact.
a lf the terminSls are bent. loose, or corroded,
r€pair them as necessary, and recheck the
svstem.
a lf the terminals look OK, make the following in-
put tests at the connector.
- lf a test indicates a problem, find and correct
the cause, then recheck the system.
- lf all the input tests prove OK, the control unit
must be faulty; replace it.
NOTE: Different wires with the same color have
been given a number suffix to distinguish them
(RED/GRN1 and RED/GRN, are nor the same).
