5.3.6 Installing the Printer Driver to Windows 2000 (Print out usint the IPP)
IPP is supported in the Windows 2000. When the printer is connected on the Internet or on the intranet, printing can be
performed using the IPP .
NOTES:
Before printing that performed from Windows 2000 using IPP, attach the optional Print Server Card
(AR-NC4T) to the copier.
(1) Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer.
(2) Click on [Start].
(3) Choose [Settings].
(4) Double-click on [Add Printer].
(5) Click on [Next].
(6) Make sure that [Network printer] is selected nad click on [Next].
(7) Select "Connect to a printer on the Internet or on your intranet" and enter "http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:631/nic/Print" at URL.
"xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" is the IP address of the machine.
(8) Click on [OK] to install the printer driver.
(9) Click on [Have Disk...].
(10) In "Copy Manufacture's file form," enter the name of the folder where the printer driver for Windows NT4.0 is contained.
(11) Click on [OK].
(12) Select the printer driver to be installed and click on [OK].
(13) Note that through the [Digital Signature Not Found] screen appears, there is no impact upon the printer driver installation.
Click on [Yes] to complete installation.
(14) Click on [Next].
When any other printer driver has already been installed, select whether or not this printer is to be used as the default
driver. If "Yes" is selected, this printer's name will be displayed as the first printer for printing documents through
applications.
(15) Click on [Finish].
