Troubleshooting and Caring for the Printer

Detailed Symptom: The Carrier Assembly is activated but no printing is performed.
Items to be Checked Beforehand:
1. Attaching of the Print Head is defective.
2. The SUB PCB Connector J1 or J2 connection is defective.
Condition for Check/Confirmation Items

Print Test with Confirm that the ribbon is correctly
55 Kg Paper. taken up during printing.
Detailed Symptom: Printing is not possible. The print activation does not start. Printable status is not obtained.
Items to be Checked Beforehand:
1. The SUB PCB Connector J4 connection and contact is defective.
2. The Print Cable connection or contact is defective.

Print Test Testmode is displayed at the panel.
Detailed Symptom:
Items to be Checked Beforehand:
1. Attaching of the Load Sensor is defective.
2. Attaching of the PE Sensor ASM is defective.
Condition for Check/Confirmation Items
Checking
Execute Sensor Confirm the activation of the Load
Test. Sensor and PE Sensor ASM.
Detailed Symptom: The Carrier ASM movement is too slow, stops after each digit, the printing action is too slow.
Items to be Checked Beforehand:
1. The SUB PCB Connector J1 connection or contact is defective.
2. The Head Flex Cable is cut or its contact is defective.
Condition for Check/Confirmation Items
Checking
Power OFF. Detach the SUB PCB Connector J1,
measure the resistance value
between CP14-7 and CP14-9. If it is
about 8 K ohm at 25C, it is normal.
The printer stops halfway through printing, paper is fed out, paper-end status is detected.
