Troubleshooting and Caring for the Printer

Detailed Symptom:
Items to be Checked Beforehand:
1. SUB PCB Connector J1 connection or contact is defective.
2. Head Flex Cable is cut or its connection is defective.
3. SUB Flex Cable is cut or its connection is defective.
Condition for
Check/Confirmation Items
Checking
Power OFF.
Detach the SUB PCB Connector
J1, measure the resistance
value between CN14-7 and
CN14-9. (If the resistance value
at 25C is about 8 K ohm, it is
normal.)
Description of Phenomenon
This error occurs when the output of the thermistor attached to the Print Head is not
normal.
A "thermistor" is an element that changes its resistance in accordance with the tem-
perature. The resistance is about 8 K ohm at 25C.
