Troubleshooting

Detailed Symptom:
Items to be Checked Beforehand:
1. ASF attaching is defective.
2. The ASF drive gear is damaged or its teeth are missing.
3. The ASF gears are damaged or their teeth are missing.
4. Initial Setting is defective.
5. The motor activation is defective.
6. The OP Cable connection or contact is defective.
Condition for

ASF Mode
Press the Load key to confirm
that the ASF Pick Up Roller Set
revolves.
Detailed Symptom:

1. The ASF Hoppers are worn out, damaged, dirty, or have foreign materials stuck to them.
2. The ASF Rubbers are worn out, damaged, dirty, or have foreign materials stuck to them.
3. The ASF Separation Pads are worn out, damaged, dirty, or have foreign materials stuck to them.

1. The ASF Separation Pads are worn out, damaged, dirty, or have foreign materials stuck to them.
2. The ASF Hoppers are worn out, damaged, dirty, are stuck with alien materials.
3. Paper detection by the PE Sensor ASM is defective.

Execute Sensor
In Continuous Form Feed Paper
Test.

check if the PE Sensor ASM
correctly turns ON/OFF.

Paper is not loaded into the printer at all, or empty feeding occurs (paper is not fed from
the ASF).
The last one page cannot be loaded into the printer, jams, wrinkles, or skews.
Paper is jammed in the ASF, or stops at the Stopper. Or paper is jammed, skewed, or feeding
double-sheets in the feeding sequence.
When experiencing trouble with the ASF, confirm that the same symptom occurs
even when the ASF mode is switched to the Manual Insert Mode.
