Install Linux Agent

1 Install the SNMP service on the network.
NOTE: To install SNMP, follow the procedures in the appropriate User's Guide. Also
see the README file in the \Linux\***\TOSHIBA\HEW directory of the Server Setup
Tool.
2 Install the SNMP agent software for the RAID controller and confirm that the
installation was successful.
#rpm –qa | grep ucd-snmp <Enter>
ucd-snmp-4.2-12
ucd-snmp-utils-4.2-12
3 If the packages shown above do not appear, install them. Insert the Red Hat Linux
7.1 Install CD1 into the CD-ROM drive and mount the CD-ROM.
# mount /mnt/cdrom <Enter>
# cd /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS <Enter>
# rpm –i ucd-snmp-4.2-12.i386.rpm <Enter>
# rpm –i ucd-snmp-utils-4.2-12.i386.rpm <Enter>
# cd <Enter>
# umount /mnt/cdrom <Enter>
# chkconfig --level 345 snmpd on<Enter>
4 Confirm openssl095a has been installed.
#rpm –qa | grep openssl095a <Enter>
openssl095a-0.9.5a-1
5 If the package shown above does not appear, install it. Insert Red Hat Linux 7.1
Install CD2 into the CD-ROM drive and mount the CD-ROM.
# mount /mnt/cdrom <Enter>
# cd /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS <Enter>
# rpm –i openssl095a-0.9.5a.i386.rpm <Enter>
# cd <Enter>
# umount /mnt/cdrom <Enter>
6 Set the SST installation CD in the CD-ROM drive.
