Management Console
The Management Console receives fault information from the Management Proxy and
displays them as Alert Messages to notify the administrator. It also enables the user to
use an Internet browser to obtain Agent information or set Agent monitoring information
items. Most monitoring operations are performed from this Management Console. The
HEW Management Console must be installed for use in the Management Console
machine.

Module Configuration Notes

Minimum configuration
In an environment with only one Magnia Z310/Z310R, all modules are installed in one
Magnia Z310/Z310R. In this environment, the fault report function does not work if a
server fails.
Medium-scale configuration
In an environment in which several Magnia Z310/Z310Rs are installed, a Management
Proxy is installed in one Magnia Z310/Z310R and the Agent is installed in the other
Magnia Z310/Z310R servers. The Management Proxy runs 24 hours a day to monitor
each Agent (including the Management Proxy itself).
Large-scale configuration
A large-scale configuration has several Management Proxies, each of which monitors
dozens of Agent Magnia Z310/Z310R servers.
