A. Position the front and rear joint couplers on top of
the wire harness, and position the middle joint
coupler to the left of the harness.
B. Route the wire harness to the inside of the seat
lock cable.
C. Pass the license plate light lead through the hole in
the rear fender.
D. View with wire harness removed
E. Position the shift actuator motor coupler under the
shift actuator sensor coupler.
F. Pass the foot shift sensor lead through the guide
on the rear fender.
G. Secure the holder by inserting the projection on
the holder into the hole in the rear fender.
H. Route the clutch fluid reservoir hose under the shift
actuator motor lead, shift actuator sensor lead, and
foot shift sensor lead.
I. View with wire harness installed
J. Securely connect the ABS ECU coupler.
K. Secure the plastic band by inserting the projection
on the band into the hole in the rear fender, and
then fasten the wire harness at the positioning tape
with the band.
L. Route the rear shock absorber assembly stepping
motor lead and DC motor lead between the
couplers (shift actuator motor coupler and shift
actuator sensor coupler) and the rear fender, and
then route the leads downward through the hole in
the rear fender.
M. Insert the projection on the wire harness holder
into the hole in the rear fender.
N. Make sure that the shift actuator sensor coupler
does not protrude above the wire harness.
O. Route the rear right turn signal light lead under the
right tail/brake light bulb socket.
P. Route the rear right turn signal light lead and right
tail/brake light lead over the left tail/brake light bulb
socket.
Q. Route the leads between the left tail/brake light
bulb socket and the rear left turn signal light bulb
socket.
R. Route the tail/brake light assembly lead between
the left tail/brake light bulb socket and the
mounting boss on the tail/brake light assembly.
S. Route the tail/brake light assembly lead between
the tail/brake light assembly and its bracket.
T. Route the rear shock absorber assembly DC motor
lead through the electrical pump cover, making
sure not to pinch the lead.
U. Insert the projection on the wire harness holder
into the hole in the frame cross member.
V. Make sure that the rear shock absorber assembly
DC motor lead is not routed to the front of the
coupler.
