Auto-Attendant Programming

Auto-Attendant can be enabled on a line-by-line basis from the programming extension.
If a call is received on an Auto-Attendant line when the voice mail system is busy, the call will ring as a
normal call. If the voice mail system becomes free before the call is answered, the Auto-Attendant feature
is activated, the call is automatically answered and the Auto-Attendant message is returned.
Programming Lines to be answered by the Auto-Attendant
From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "System Programming" is displayed.
Select "System Programming".
Enter the System Programming Password and select "Lines".
Select "Incoming Ringing".
Select the line that is to be programmed.
Select "Day", "Night", or "Day and Night".
Select Auto-Attendant.
Press the speakerphone key to finish programming.
To Customize the Auto-Attendant Message
From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "System Programming" is displayed.
Select "System Programming".
Enter the System Programming Password and select "System".
Select "Change greetings".
Select "Auto Attendant Day" or "Auto Attendant Night" to record the "Day Service" and "Night
Service" greetings respectively.
Select "Record Greeting".
When prompted, speak to record the new greeting.
Press "Confirm" when the recording has been completed.
Press the speakerphone key to finish programming.
Recording a Temporary Auto-Attendant Greeting
A temporary auto-attendant greeting can be recorded and activated remotely. This is intended to allow users
to temporarily change the greeting used for auto attendant day and night and courtesy service day and night.
Access any mailbox and while listening to the prompt "You have x new messages etc" dial 931 and
record the temporary greeting. Press # to finish recording and hang up.
This greeting is played to all callers answered by the auto-attendant or the courtesy service
To turn the greeting off and revert to the normal auto attendant and courtesy greetings access any mailbox
and while listening to the prompt "You have x new messages etc" dial 933. The temporary greeting is
deleted.
To Change the Auto-Attendant Language
The Auto Attendant language can be programmed to be English, French or Spanish. The default language is
English.
From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "System Programming" is displayed.
Select "System Programming".
Enter the System Programming Password and select "System".
Select "Language".
Select "Voice Module" to change the Auto-Attendant language
Select the language required.
Press the speakerphone key to finish programming.
