CHAPTER 2 BASIC OPERATIONS

2.4.3 Delivery

Normally, the pusher plate is at advance position, and serves to keep the booklet upright
together with the delivery tray, which is pulled by the constant load spring.
In this position, the pusher plate is blocking the path for vertical delivery. When the deliv-
ery process begins, the pusher plate moves back to escape position using the drive of the
push motor (M107), thereby opening the delivery path. AT this time, the booklet is upright
between the delivery tray and the holder plate (in up position).
The booklet moved from the press assembly is delivered by the vertical feeding roller.
When the delivery sensor (PS108) detects the passage of the trailing edge of the booklet, the
booklet is stopped and the holder plate is moved down a specific period of time thereafter by
the work of the holder motor (M106).
A specific period of time thereafter, the pusher plate moves forward to push out the newly
delivered booklet from the delivery path. It then holds the booklet against the delivery for
stacking it upright.
The holder plate moves up as far as its upper limit a specific period of time after the
pusher plate stops.
