1.2 Typical System Installation

The Voice-over-IP (VoIP) Intercom is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE 802.3af) and VoIP two-way
communications device that easily connects into existing local area networks (LANs) with a single
cable connection. The intercom is compatible with most SIP-based IP PBX servers that comply with
SIP RFC 3261.
The following figures illustrate how the VoIP Indoor Intercom with Keypad can be installed as part of
a VoIP phone system.
