8 Replacing the Gross Particle Filter
CAUTION
To insure proper operation and avoid voiding unit warranty only use Invacare supplied components.
8.1

Cleaning the Gross Particle Filter

The gross particle filter should be cleaned or replaced per the Solo2 Preventative Maintenance Record.
CAUTION
DO NOT operate the Solo2 without filters installed.
DO NOT clean the filter with alcohol and alcohol based products (isopropyl alcohol), concentrated chlorine based products (ethylene
chlorine), or oil based products (Pine-Sol, Lestoil) or any other harsh chemical agent. Only use a mild liquid dish detergent (such as Dawn).
1. Squeeze both tabs to release the filter cover and remove from unit.
2. Lift the filter out of the housing.
3. Use a vacuum cleaner or a mild liquid cleaning detergent (such as Dawn) and water to clean the filter. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Thoroughly dry the filter and inspect for fraying, crumbling, tears and holes.
5. Replace filter and filter cover.
6. Install the filter cover ensuring the tabs click holding the filter cover in place.
