15 Compressor
CAUTION
Before handling the P.C. Board, ensure you are properly grounded to prevent static discharge and damage to the components of the P.C.
Board. A static strap MUST be worn and properly grounded using an alligator clip. Electrical conduit or a water pipe can bue used if a
ground is unavailable. Care should be taken to ensure that the alligator clip contacts bare metal surface.

15.1 Replacing the Compressor

For this procedure refer to Figures 1 and 2.
Required tools: Torx® T15 screwdriver, #2 screwdriver, 3/32" hex head driver, long handle needle nose pliers
1.
Disassemble the Solo2. Refer to Accessing Internal Components on page 40.
2.
Remove the P.C. Board.
3.
Remove the Sieve Bed Unit.
4.
After all items are disconnected from the above sections them compressor box can be pulled out of the Solo2 for disassembly.
5.
Using a 3/32" Hex head wrench, while holding the vibration mounts (on top of the compressor box) from inside the compressor box and loosen
the screw (Detail "B" and "C").
6.
Using a 3/32" Hex head wrench, while holding the vibration mounts (on Bottom of the compressor box) from inside the compressor box and
loosen the screw (Detail "B" and "D").
7.
Remove the 4 screws holding the top and bottom of the compressor box loose using a Torx®T15 (Detail "C").
8.
Cut the Ty-wrap off the tube in the lower shroud that goes from the compressor to the 4-way valve (Detail "A").
9.
Lift the compressor and 4-way valve assembly out of the compressor box lower shroud (Detail "E" and "F").
10. Cut the Ty-wraps that secure the tubes from the4-way valve to the compressor and separate the valve from the compressor (Detail "A").
11. Pull the compressor out of the Gray sound foam wrap.
12. Disconnect the tubes and muffler from the compressor and set aside for reuse.
13. Remove the fans that are located behind the compressor and inspect for dirt and debris and clean with low pressure air and reassemble the
fan/foam box back together (Detail "G").
