16 Sieve Bed Manifold Unit
CAUTION
Before handling the P.C. Board, ensure you are properly grounded to prevent static discharge and damage to the components of the P.C.
Board. A static strap MUST be worn and properly grounded using an alligator clip. Electrical conduit or a water pipe can bue used if a
ground is unavailable. Care should be taken to ensure that the alligator clip contacts bare metal surface.

16.1 Replacing the Sieve Bed Manifold Unit

For this procedure refer to Figures 1 and 2.
• Required tools: Sieve Bed torque wrench with crows foot set to 7.5 inch pounds
1. When the shrouds have been separated start out by cutting the Ty-wraps that secure the manifold power connection wire to the Heat Exchanger
tube.
2. Unplug all connectors attached to the P.C. Board that power the manifold.
3. Disconnect the tubes on the P.C. Board.
4. Disconnect the Sieve Bed tubes from the Heat Exchanger.
5. Pull the Sieve Bed /Manifold out of the Solo2 shroud.
6. Cut the Tie-wraps off the black inlet barrier
7. Pull the fitting off the bottom of the Sieve Beds by pushing in the gray ring tab and then pulling the fitting off (Detail "C") .
8. Pull the upper and lower spacer off the Sieve Bed.
9. With the Sieve Bed /Manifold out of the Solo2 out of the Solo2 take the wrench and remove the Sieve Bed from the manifold.
10. Remove the second Sieve Bed from the manifold.
11. Do not remove the product tank from the Manifold.
12. Install the new Sieve Beds one at a time and torque to 7.5Inch lbs. then install the seconds and repeat the torque (if the beds are over torqued
the unit may not tune).
13. Slide the upper spacer to 4.5" from the bottom of the Sieve Can and 3.38" from the bottom of the Sieve Can for the lower spacers with the heat
exchanger tubes back onto the Sieve Beds.
