FRONT WHEEL
REMOVAL
Put the motorcycle on its center stand.
Raise the front wheel off the ground by placing a
block or safety stand under the engine.
GL12000:
Disconnect the speedometer cable from the speedo-
meter gear box.
Gl1200A;
Remove the speed sensor from the speedometer
gear
bOil:.
Remove the right and left caliper assemblies by
removing the caliper bracket mount bolts.
CAUTION:
Support the caliper assembly
SO
that it does
lIol hang from the brake hose. Do lIot twist
the brake hose.
Remove the axle holders and the front wheel.
NOTE:
Do not depress the brake [ever or pedal when
the wheel is off the motorcycle or
it
will be
difficult to refit the disc bet\veen the brake
pads.
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the axle nut, speedometer gear box, axle
and collar.
