REMOVING THE CLUTCH

1. Remove:
• Bolt
• Clutch spring
NOTE: NOTE:
Loosen the bolts in stages and in a crisscross
pattern.
2. Straighten the lock washer tab.
3. Loosen:
• Primary drive gear nut
• Clutch boss nut
NOTE: NOTE:
• Place the aluminum plate
housing and primary drive gear
then loosen the primary drive gear nut
• While holding the clutch boss with the univer-
sal clutch holder
nut .

4. Remove:
• Clutch boss nut
• Lock washer
• Clutch boss
• Thrust washer
• Clutch housing
5. Remove:
• Primary drive gear nut
• Lock washer
• Claw washer
• Primary drive gear
