16. Remove the dirt and oil from the shift iever cover
s e a l i n g s u r f a c e . A p p l y l i q u i d g a s k e t ( P / N 0 8 7 1 8 -
0001) to the sealing surface.
NOTE: lf 5 minutes have passed after applylng
liquid gasket. reapply it and assemble the housings.
Allow it to cure at least 20 minutes after assembly
b e f o r e f i l l i n g t h e t r a n s m i s s i o n w i t h o i l .
