Entering the Configuration or Monitoring for a Router Interface

To enter a router's configuration or monitoring, go to the main menu and execute the following command:
network <interface>X/Y
Where X corresponds to the board where the interface is and Y is the interface number on this board.
E.g., to enter the Ethernet interface in the router and also the interface shown in the LEDs, such as LAN1,
execute the following command:
network ethernet0/0
To enter a subinterface, execute the same as the above but add a "." and the interface order number.
network ethernet0/0.1

Troubleshooting

The most frequent problems encountered are as follows:
1. The device has enough interfaces; however the interface that being created as a generic interface is
sending error messages. Check what license the router has as it's possible that this interface is
disabled due to this. Normally when you connect to a router, it displays a message before the prompt
appears, saying what type of router it is and the interfaces it can operate with.
