Spanning Tree Protocol Configuration
The Spanning Tree P rotocol can be used to detect and disable
network loops, and to provide backup links between switches,
bridges, or routers. This allows the switch to interact with other
bridging devices (that is, STP compliant switches, bridges, or
routers) in your netwo rk to ensure that only one route exists
between any two stations on the network. For a more detailed
description of how to use this protocol, refer to "Spanning Tree
Concepts", in the DES-3326 Management Guide.
The following figures and tables describe the configuration of the
Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) on the switch.
