network termination unit). In order to prevent the cable being
disconnected from the PCB by accident the PCB cover fits around
the end of the plug on the cable in order to retain it.
6.3.3.3 Connection of SCOOT Detector Inputs to an Integral TC12 OTU
On an integral TC12 OTU the SCOOT detector inputs to the controller should be
connected to the normally open contacts on the detector backplane (make for
vehicle presence). On an STC detector back plane these are the even numbered
pins starting at pin 10.
6.3.3.4 Lamp Monitor Unit Connections
If the installation uses the lamp monitoring facility on the integral OTU card, then
Current and voltage monitoring transformers are connected to PLB on the OTU
PCB via a 64-way connector housing (part number 508/4/26138/008). The current
and voltage monitor transformers have two wires each, terminated in crimps that
push in to the connector housing.
Note: Only 60 positions are used on the 64 way housing. Positions 1, 2, 63 and
64 are unused as they do not line up with any of the 60 pins on the plug
PLB.
Figure 33 shows the pin out of PLB. LMU input 1+ and LMU input 1- (PLB pins 1
and 2), correspond to positions 3 and 4 respectively on the 64 way housing and so
on.
