3.3.3.8 Receive Data Control Mode (GRX)
GRX={Control Mode: 0 or 1 (0)}
Comment:- Instructs the OTU to use the CD control line to detect the start and end
of receive data from the instation (0) or ignore the CD control line and use a gap
timer instead to detect the start of the receive data from the instation (1).
The CD control line is used for telephone line communications using modems.
The gap timer is used for RS232 serial link communications.
3.3.3.9 Additional Propagation Delay (GPD)
GPD={Delay: 0 to 90 (0)}
Comment:- Instructs the OTU to include an additional number of milliseconds of
propagation delay to its calculations.
Propagation delay is considered to be the time from a signal transition being made
on the OTU UART Tx line to the same transition being presented at the Instation
UART Rx line (or vice versa).
3.3.3.10 Enable/Disable OTU control and reply facility (GOE)
GOE=1 (0)

3.3.3.11 SCOOT loop input allocation (GSA)
GSA{Scoot loop no.: 0 to 11}={Digital input no.: 0 to 31} (255)
Comment:
Note. The 32 inputs are numbered 1 to 32 in section 3.2.3.5, corresponding to
the associated pin on the 40 way input connector, however the handset
command numbers the inputs from 0 to 31, for the 32 inputs.
3.3.3.12 Unidirectional loop allocation (GUD)
GUD{U/D loop no.: 0 to 3}={Digital input no.: 0 to 30} (255)

The above command is repeated for each OTU on the telephone
line. For each OTU enter its address and the number of reply words
it uses.
Causes the OTU UTC control and reply function to be enabled (1)
or disabled (0). The facility should not be enabled until all the
required configuration items have been set up and checked.
Commands to set up digital inputs and reply bytes
GSA, GUD, GRL, GIS
Repeat this command for up to 12 scoot loops. For each scoot loop
used enter the number of the scoot loop and the input (on Buffered
Input Connector PL2 see section 3.2.3.5) to which its detector
output signal connects.
Unidirectional loop allocation on a free standing OTU. Repeat this
command for up to four unidirectional loops. For each unidirectional
loop used enter the number of the loop (0 to 3) and the input (on
Buffered Input Connector PL2 see section 3.2.3.5) to which the
