WARNING: While upgrading from ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management to ZENworks 7.3
Linux Management on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server or Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server
platforms, do not modify the default content of the
Linux Management Server. If you edit the file, the Novell eDirectory 8.8.3 packages are not
completely updated.

11.7.2 Upgrading the Managed Device

Upgrading managed devices to ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management installs the new ZENworks
Agent.
You can upgrade the managed device from the ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management with IR2 or
ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management with IR2 - Dell Edition to ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management
either manually or by using the upgrade bundles. For more information on upgrading the managed
devices manually, see Section 11.1.3, "Upgrading Managed Devices Manually," on page
