Looking at the remote 3745 side:

• If the control program is to be loaded from the host:
- Check the IPL port configuration on the 3745. Refer to the 3745 Advanced Operations
Guide. .
• If the configuration is correct, perform one of the following:
Modem
s~lf-test
on both ends and end-to-end modem test for L1C1 to L1C4 and L1C5 or
L1C6
Refer to page 9-30 for L1C1 to L1C4.
Refer to page 9-31 or 9-36 for L1C5.
Refer to page 9-44 for L1C6.
Refer to your modem documentation.
The L1C and line problem procedure (see Chapter 9).
Stand alone link test on the link-attached 3745 (see the MOSS SAT function on the 3745
Advanced Operations Guide). The channel attached controller, loaded with the control
program, acts as a responder.
If the problem is not solved, start a link IPL port trace. Select this option on the screen
used to define the link IPLport (see the MOSS LKP function on the 3745 Advanced
Operations Guide).

Traced data will be analyzed by the service representative.
