Update in standby mode
Rewriting of the firmware can be performed by operating the buttons on the control panel even if the projector is in
the standby mode.
Set the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [ECO MANAGEMENT] → [STANDBY MODE] to [NORMAL] in advance.
If [ECO] is set, the firmware cannot be updated in standby mode.
1)
Insert the USB memory with the firmware data saved into the <USB (DC OUT)> terminal of the
projector.
2)
Confirm that the projector is in the standby mode.
3)
Press in order of aass on the control panel, and press the <ENTER> button.
f The projector will go into the update ready state.
f Once the projector goes into the update ready state, the power indicator <ON (G)/STANDBY (R)> will turn
off, and the light source indicator <LIGHT> and the temperature indicator <TEMP> will light up in red.
4)
Enter the security password and press the <ENTER> button.
f Update is started.
f Once the update is started, the power indicator <ON (G)/STANDBY (R)> will light up in red, and the light
source indicator <LIGHT> and the temperature indicator <TEMP> will blink in red alternately.
f Update is completed when the light source indicator <LIGHT> and the temperature indicator <TEMP> stop
blinking and turn off.
Attention
f Do not disconnect the main power supply of the projector while updating.
Note
f The security password is the password set in the [SECURITY] menu → [SECURITY PASSWORD CHANGE].
Initial password of the factory default setting: awsqawsq
f In following cases, turn the power of the projector off and on and perform the update from the beginning.
g When the update does not complete after 60 minutes or more have elapsed
g When the power of the projector has turned off due to power outage, etc., during the update
f If the security password is not entered for approximately 60 seconds in the update ready state, the update ready state will be canceled and
the projector will go into standby mode.
