STU 111/SECTEL 1000
If you are an authorized user of a STU 111/SECTEL lOOO's secure
mode and possess a valid Crypto Ignition Key (CIK), you should
know that:
• The STU III/SECTEL
1000
is a Controlled Cryptographic Item
(CCI), and national COMSEC policy requires that it be protected.
• When the CIK is inserted in your STU III/SECTEL
1000
your
CIK and STU 111/SECTEL 1000 become classified to the
level you are keyed. Do not leave it unattended!
• Specific security procedures for controlling and using your
STU 111/SECTEL 1000 and CIK are prescribed by your cognizant
security person.
Classification Level Shown on Message Display
Your STU III/SECTEL message display will show you the highest
classification of information that may be communicated while in
the secure mode. Never communicate information classified at a
higher level than that shown on the message display.
Terminal's Identification Shown on Message Display
In the secure mode, the identification (ID) of the terminal you are
contacting will be shown on the STU 111/SECTEL message display.
Always use the ID shown on the message display to authenticate
the contacted terminal.
WARNING
If STU 111/SECTEL I 000 remains classified after CIK is removed,
the message display will show:
