Field Description
Authen This field sets the authentication protocol used for
outgoing calls.
Options for this field are:
CHAP/PAP - Your Business Secure Router will accept
either CHAP or PAP when requested by this remote
node.
CHAP - accept CHAP only.
PAP - accept PAP only.
Pri Phone # Enter the first (primary) phone number from the ISP for
this remote node. If the Primary Phone number is busy
Sec Phone #
or does not answer, your Business Secure Router dials
the Secondary Phone number, if available. Some areas
require dialing the pound sign # before the phone
number for local calls. Include a # symbol at the
beginning of the phone numbers as required.
Edit PPP Move the cursor to this field and use the space bar to

Rem IP Addr Leave the field set to 0.0.0.0 (default) if the remote
gateway has a dynamic IP address. Enter the remote
gateway's IP address here if it is static.
Edit IP This field leads to a "hidden" menu. Press [SPACE BAR]
to select Yes and press [ENTER] to go to Menu 11.2.2 -

Telco Option
Allocated Enter the maximum number of minutes that this remote
Budget node can be called within the time period configured in
the Period field. The default for this field is 0, meaning
there is no budget control and no time limit for accessing
this remote node.
Period(hr) Enter the time period (in hours) for how often the budget
should be reset. For example, to allow calls to this
remote node for a maximum of 10 minutes every hour,
set the Allocated Budget to 10 (minutes) and the
Period to 1 (hour).
