What to do

Ensure that the PSTN line is working, if
it is being used to route host-controlled
calls. Ask your service provider to check
this.

Ask the network administrator to check
the IP network (if it is being used) and
ensure that:
it is not down
traffic is being routed between the
Remote Gateway 911x series unit and
RLC on the host PBX

Ask the network administrator to PING
the RLC from the Remote Gateway
911x series unit to verify IP network
connectivity.

If the problem persists, contact your
telecom administrator or Nortel
distributor.

Ensure your telephone is not on call
forward.

Ensure the calling party has your correct
telephone number.

Ensure the Remote Gateway 911x
series unit is powered up. It cannot
receive calls from the host PBX or the
PSTN if it is not powered up.

Ensure the PSTN line is working. Ask
your service provider to check this.

If the problem persists, contact your
telecom administrator or Nortel
distributor.
