Automatic or scheduled firmware upgrade

When you configure the Remote Gateway 911x series unit to perform an
automatic or scheduled firmware upgrade using the Auto Upgrade
Configuration property sheet, the Remote Gateway 911x series unit queries the
predefined TFTP server and upgrades the firmware automatically. Refer to
"Auto upgrade configuration" on page 128 for further details.

Nortel recommends the following when performing an automatic or scheduled
firmware upgrade:
1 Complete the procedures in "Before you begin" on page 198 prior to
configuring the automatic or scheduled upgrade.
2 Complete the procedures in "Creating a backup configuration file" on page
157 before performing an automatic or scheduled firmware upgrade.
Note: The automatic or scheduled firmware upgrade only performs upgrades on
the Remote Gateway 9100 Series units you configure on the Auto Upgrade
Configuration property sheets. In order for the automatic or scheduled firmware
upgrade to complete, place the ro-ver.txt file in the same TFTP server directory
as you place the .upg file.

USE CAUTION WHEN FORCING THE AUTO UPGRADE
PROCESS AS THE SYSTEM PERFORMS A SELF-RESET ON
ALL UNITS TO MAKE THE NEW FIRMWARE ACTIVE ONCE
THE DOWNLOAD OF NEW FIRMWARE IS COMPLETE.
