Evaporator Thermistors (Model ICB424)
The evaporator thermistors are attached to the right
side evaporator brackets (one thermistor each evapora-
tor), with a screw.
Upper Evaporator Thermistor: To remove the upper
evaporator thermistor, first remove the cabinet slides,
spacers, support spacers, evaporator fan cover and
evaporator cover, then
(See Figure 6-18):
1. Extract screw holding thermistor to evaporator.
2. Extract screw holding P-clamp.
3. Disconnect the thermistor electrical leads and pull
from compartment.
NOTE:
On newer models the thermistor is hard-
wired to the control board, so it will be necessary to
cut the thermistor wires to remove it.
Lower Evaporator Thermistor: To remove the lower
evaporator thermistor, first remove the cabinet slides,
evaporator fan cover, evaporator cover and right sup-
port cover, then
(See Figure 6-18):
1. Extract screw holding thermistor to evaporator.
2. Extract screw holding P-clamp.
3. Disconnect the thermistor electrical leads and pull
from compartment.
NOTE:
On newer models the thermistor is hard-
wired to the control board, so it will be necessary to
cut the thermistor wires to remove it.
Evaporator Fan Assemblies (Model ICB424)
Evaporator fan assemblies are attached to the rear wall
(one in each compartment), with Phillips-head screws.
Upper Evaporator Fan: To remove the upper evapo-
rator fan assembly, first remove the cabinet slides,
spacers, support spacers, evaporator fan cover and
evaporator cover, then
(See Figure 6-19):
1. Extract screws holding assembly to rear wall.
2. Extract screw holding P-clamp.
3. Disconnect fan motor electrical leads and pull
assembly from compartment.
Lower Evaporator Fan: To remove the lower evapora-
tor fan assembly, first remove the cabinet slides, evapo-
rator fan cover and evaporator cover, then
