Component Access / Removal
Upper and Lower Evaporator Fan Cover Removal
(Model ICB424)
There are two access holes in the front of the evapora-
tor fan cover, and notches in the back flanges of the fan
cover. Screws pass through these holes and slots, then
through the holes in the evaporator cover, and into
screw grommets.
To remove the evaporator fan cover, extract the two
mounting screws from the access holes and pull the fan
cover forward.

Upper Evaporator Cover Removal (Model ICB424)
To remove the upper evaporator cover, the cabinet
slides, spacers, support spacers and evaporator fan
cover must be removed first. Then
1. Extract grounding screws from grounding bracket.
2. Pull compartment thermistor from the left side key-
hole slot.
3. Pull cover forward.
NOTE:
When reinstalling the evaporator cover, the
ground screw must be reinstalled.
Lower Evaporator Cover Removal (Model ICB424)
To remove the lower evaporator cover, first remove the
evaporator fan cover, then
1. Extract grounding screws from grounding bracket.
2. Lean top of cover forward and lift cover off of pegs
protruding from support covers.
NOTE:
When reinstalling the evaporator cover, the
ground screw must be reinstalled.
Support Cover Removal (Model ICB424)
Support covers are left and right of the lower evaporator
cover. The left cover hides the upper compartment
drain tube, the right cover is over the evaporator ther-
mistor. They are held in place by screws under the
lower evaporator cover.
To remove the support covers, the cabinet slides, spac-
ers, support spacers, evaporator fan cover and lower
evaporator cover must be removed first. Then

1. Extract screws securing support covers to rear wall.
2. Pull compartment thermistor from key-hole slot (left
support cover only).
3. Pull cover forward.
