Control Board Access and Removal (Model ICB424)
The control board is located behind the control panel, at
the bottom side of the compartment divider, and is con-
cealed by an access panel assembly. The control
board is held in place by four tabs, one at each corner.
To get to the control board the access panel must first
be removed
(See Figure 6-13):
1. Extracting the screws securing panel to compart-
ment divider.
2. Let back of access panel down, and pull it towards
rear of unit.
To remove the control board
1. Disconnect LED ribbon cable
2. Disconnect membrane switch ribbon cable
3. Disconnect all other electrical leads from
control board.
4. Expand tabs at corners to release control board,
then pull board down and out.
NOTE:
When re-connecting electrical leads to the con-
trol board, be sure the the silver area on the membrane
switch ribbon cable terminal is facing away from the
control board.
Control Panel Assembly Removal (Model ICB424)
Tabs at the bottom of the control panel assembly, and a
concealed tab at top center, position the assembly at
the front of the compartment divider. Screws along the
bottom of the assembly hold it in place and a silicone
seal is applied under the top flange to prevent possible
spills from reaching the electrical components.
To remove the control panel assembly, first disconnect
the LED ribbon cable and the membrane switch ribbon
cable from the control board, then
1. Extract the screws along the bottom of control
panel assembly.
2. Slide the blade of a putty knife under and along the
top flange of the control panel housing to break sili-
cone seal loose.
NOTE:
Do NOT lift top flange of the control panel
housing too vigorously. Doing so will break the
concealed tab at top center.
3. Pull Assembly forward.
NOTE:
When reinstalling control panel assembly, a
bead of silicone must be reapply along the inside of the
top flange.
