3-18 Trap Event Severity

The function is used to set an Alarm trap and get the Event log. The Trap Events
Configuration function is used to enable the switch to send out the trap information while pre-
defined trap events occurred.
Web Interface
To configure the Trap Event Severity Configuration in the web interface:
1. Click Configuration, Trap Event Severity Configuration
2. Scroll to select the Group name and Severity Level
3. Click the Apply to save the setting
4. If you want to cancel the setting then you need to click the Reset button.
It will revert to previously saved values

Parameter description:
Group Name :
The name identifying the severity group.
Syslog Type :
Every group has its own specific type for syslog. The sending of syslog messages and
syslog facility can be individually controlled according to Syslog Type in System Log
Configuration page.
Severity Level :
Every group has an severity level. The following level types are supported:
<0> Emergency: System is unusable.
<1> Alert: Action must be taken immediately.
<2> Critical: Critical conditions.
<3> Error: Error conditions.
<4> Warning: Warning conditions.
<5> Notice: Normal but significant conditions.
<6> Information: Information messages.
<7> Debug: Debug-level messages.
