Sets the number of seconds the modem
will wait for a carrier. If the modem does
not detect a carrier within this time limit,
it hangs up and returns the
NO CARRIER result code.

Sets the duration of delay generated by
the comma (,) dial modifier. Also sets the
pause between command re-execution
for the repeat (>) command.

Sets the duration, in tenths of a second,
that the remote modem's carrier signal
must be present before recognition.
When in non-FSK or half-duplex opera-
tion, the modem ignores the setting of
this register.

Sets the duration, in tenths of a second,
that the modem will wait after loss of car-
rier before hanging up. This guard time
allows the modem to distinguish between
a line hit, or any other cause that
momentarily breaks the connection, and
a true disconnection (hanging up) by the
remote modem.

seconds, in touch-tone dialing.
