Connecting the Supreme 2864L

Please refer to the section Connecting the Elite 2864 on page 3–5. The descriptions
therein also apply to connecting the Supreme 2864L. The Supreme 2864L has an
additional leased-line jack for 2/4-wire leased line connection. Leave the leased-line
jack unconnected if the leased line is not used.

Turning on the Supreme 2864L

Turn on the power switch on the power adapter to turn on the modem. The Su-
preme 2864L will perform a series of diagnostic tests while a message is shown on
the LCD panel. For a more detailed description of these diagnostic tests, please refer
to chapter 18 (DIAGNOSTICS).
After performing the diagnostic tests, your Supreme 2864L will display the current
modem settings on the front LCD panel as shown in Fig. 3.3. Your Supreme 2864L
is now ready for use.

Supreme 2864I and 2864IU

The Supreme 2864I is the model with an ISDN S-interface RJ45 connector. The Su-
preme 2864IU is the same model, but with an ISDN U-interface RJ45 connector.
The basic panel description for the Supreme 2864I and 2864IU is similar to that of
the Supreme 2864L. Please refer to the separate 2864I ISDN modem user's manual
for details.
