Nailing Brackets – Extended Install (Slab Over)
The fireplace has three (3) nailing brackets on each side. In the "extended" position, the brackets are
1/2" (13mm) from the front edge of the fireplace (see illustration below). This allows slab material,
such as marble, granite, or other natural stone slabs to be placed over the fireplace and surrounding
drywall (see "Facing Requirements" for details). Once the fireplace is properly placed, secure the
fireplace to the framing (rotate the nailing brackets as shown below).
NOTE: Make sure the fireplace is square and plumb when placed in the framing. Measured corner-
to-corner the fireplace should be square. Use shims to ensure the fireplace is square.
