Fireplace Unboxing and Moving Into Position

This fireplace is larger than most fireplaces and requires special attention when moving into position. The
directions below are intended as a guideline for this process.
Do not lift the fireplace from below with lifting forks. This may cause the base to bend
and warp
Always use proper lifting techniques when moving heavy objects (bend your knees, not
your back).
We recommend using the Travis Industries lifting handles (sku 98500711) for moving the fireplace. See
the instructions included with the brackets for installation instructions.
1. Unpack the fireplace.
2. Remove the screen box in front of the firebox opening and place it aside.
3. Remove the glass frame and place it aside (the glass tool is located inside the fireplace to the
right).
4. The fireplace may now be moved into location once the internal components have been removed.
We recommend using the Travis Industries lifting handles (sku 98500711) for this process. The
handles attach to the two brackets attached to the side of the fireplace.
5. Unscrew the bolts on the side of the fireplace that secures the brackets to the pallet.
6. Move the fireplace into position, taking care not to damage the fireplace or surrounding area. If
you do wish to move the fireplace with a forked stove lift (e.g. Escalara), we recommend lifting
from the firebox roof (place 2x4's into the firebox to distribute the load).
7. Once the fireplace is near its final position, remove the shipping brackets from the side of the
fireplace and slide it into place.
