Use this procedure to deactivate LEDs by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC).
Deactivating a system attention LED or partition LED by using the HMC
Use this procedure to deactivate a system attention LED or partition LED by using the Hardware
Management Console (HMC).
Procedure
1. In the navigation area, click the Resources icon
2. Click the server name for which you want to deactivate the attention LED.
3. In the navigation area, click System Actions > Attention LED.
4. Click Turn Attention LED Off. A confirmation window that provides the following information is
displayed.
• A verification that the system attention LED was deactivated.
• An indication open problems might exist within the system.
5. Click OK.
Deactivating an identify LED for a FRU by using the HMC

Procedure
1. In the navigation area, click the Resources icon
2. To view the actions for that server, click the name of the required server.
3. In the navigation area, click System Actions > Attention LED > Identify Attention LED. The Identify
LED, Select Enclosure window is displayed.
4. To deactivate an identify LED for a FRU, select an enclosure from the table, and then click Selected >
List FRUs.
5. Select one or more FRUs from the table, and click Deactivate LED.
The associated LED is turned off.

Deactivate LED.
