Placing a stand-alone 9009-41A or 9009-41G system into the operating position after you work with
the system processor or the system backplane
Use this procedure to place an IBM Power System S914 (9009-41A or 9009-41G) server into the
operating position after you work with the system processor or the system backplane.
Before you begin
CAUTION: This system requires two people to tip the system upright.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. Complete the following steps to place a stand-alone system into the operating position:
a) Carefully tilt the stand-alone system from its horizontal position back to its vertical position. See
Figure 47 on page 65.
