Selecting Normal mode (reference 1) means that the light source will operate at the designated power level
(no power adaptation to meet constant light output). You can change the power level by dragging the slider
(reference 2) or manually entering the power value (in %) (reference 3).
Selecting CLO mode (reference 4) forces a constant light output of the projector over a certain period. This
will eliminate uncontrolled light output drop caused by natural aging of the light source. The light output is
checked every 5 minutes, if the target is not met, the laser power is adjusted. You can change the target light
output by dragging the slider (reference 5) or manually entering the power value (in foot-Lambert) (reference
6).
Next to the light output mode, you can also select the desired White Point Target (reference 7). You can
choose between the native white point, the DCI (for 2D) white point, or the white point as designated by the
Rec.2020 and Rec.709 standards. White technically the native white point should be correct, it may vary
slightly from the DCI specifications. If this happens, the option is available to adjust the white point to the DCI
spec.
Also available, on the bottom of this menu, there is the option to enable Light Recovery Mode. When the
projector is connected to a UPS and this option is selected, the light will recover to its original state after a
power failure lasting longer than 5 seconds.
How to set up the light output
1.
In the Light output Mode menu, select Normal (reference 1).
Normal mode parameters are now available (references 2 & 3), and CLO mode parameters are greyed out
(not accessible).
